Solaris - Feedback

...........For this pilot project, in the overall spirit of experimenting with technology, we had students testing out different ways of using media's with technology;
............For this we created two websites, one a web document on Solar Eclipse '99 and an other a web paste board. On both the information in it was s constantly updated online as the event progressed according to the needs of children in UK. For this, a data bank was created at IDC - Poems, background text, quotes, colloquial titbits, children's illustrations, photographs, cartoons, caricatures, sketches, audio clips, music, animation's, video clips etc.... and the website on solar eclipse '99 was being updated constantly and uploaded into the server.

Community Interaction models through Net ..........The structure of information paths through the Net offers different ways in which people can interact with each other. We are extending this to community of users not necessarily located in a single place and to an interaction that happens synchronously.
Model Ia:
Communication is exchanged between users located between two locations A and B. - both carry out a particular task by exchanging information. It could be the case where inputs are essential from both the sides.

Model Ib:
.......... Again, communication is exchanged between users located between two locations A and B. - A provides inputs for B with which a given task is carried out and B provides inputs for A with which A carries out the task.
Ex 1 A build a mural from the information that B sent and B builds a mural from the information that A sends
Model II:
.......... Communication is exchanged between users located between two locations A and B with a whole host of community of net users either watching or participating in the event. A version of Dumb Sharad

could be done over the net to infuse elements of game playing with clues being solved by observers.
Model III:
.......... Communication is exchanged between more than two locations maybe between A, B and C. - A provides inputs for B with which a given task is carried out, B provides inputs for C with which another task is carried out and C provides inputs for A with which a given task is carried out
Ex1 could be that housewives at A provide cooking recipes for B and B provides it for C and C for A. All cook food based on inputs from an other and get around to interacting with each other in this process

Model 4:
.......... Communication is between location A and whole lot of users connected to the net - a task or event could be carried out at A by getting net users to participate in the progress of the event.
Ex1 Holi is celebrated over the net with virtual colours being splashed. For example, an user sends in his photograph to A, and it is sent back to him with the splash of holi colours
