The
sun-dial visualised in this concept is a storyteller type. Basic
construction comprises of an arm pivoted in the centre. A series
of twelve mirrors are strategically positioned over the arm,
so as to capture the sunrays at fixed equal intervals of time
throughout the day. A series of twelve cutouts in black depicting
a particular story is superimposed on the reflecting surface
of the mirror.
A
projection screen with a sunshade over the top is arranged in
a semicircular fashion to enable smooth transition of the images
from mirror to mirror. The images projected on the screen appear
in silhouette type, with sharp contrast between black and reflecting
areas of the image.
